Krishi Vigyan Kendra ,Bhaderwah (Doda) was
sanctioned vide letter No. F. No.5-12/99- AE II
Dated: 31.12.02 in participatory mode by Indian
Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi and
inception in March, 2003. Now this KVK has been
converted from participatory mode to 100 percent
funding by ICAR vide F.No.5(51)/2002-AE-II
dated:15.02.06. This KVK is engaged in
organizing
various activities and catering the extension
needs of Doda district as per the KVK
mandates.Krishi Vigyan Kendras, are the district
level Farm Science Centres, established by
Indian Council of agricultural Research for
speedy transfer of technology to farmers fields.
The KVKs aim is to increase the productivity on sustainable basis and
creating opportunity for greater economic activities in agriculture and
allied sector. KVKs identify the technological needs of the farming
community and endeavour to meet these needs through multifarious
activities like organization of training programmes , demonstrations ,
technology assessment and refinement, agricultural exhibitions , field
days, campaigns and publication of easy to understand literature in
local languages .
